Wow I haven't made a blog post in like 4 months! Hate how distracted I got, but now I'm really into web dev, design, and blogging again! I wanted to make a quick post to share what I've been up to the last few months~!

Back to Hosting Files on Neocities

I decided to to start hosting my site files on Neocities again instead of nekoweb! The reason for this is because I actually really like the activity page/comment system of neocities and I like when people see the pages I'm working on/update. When I first joined the indie web this feature was a big motivating factor that helped me socialize with other like minded webmasters. Originally the reason I didnt want to host my files on neocities was because of the owner's stance on AI, but after some consideration I realize that was super hypocritical considering I still use Instagram and Facebook

lololol.

The Indie web is a really great creative outlet for me and I really enjoy socializing with other people who are part of it!

What I've Been Playing

Reader I'd looooove to chat with you about what games I've been playing!

Latetly I've been really obsessed with Fields of Mistria and I play it for hours every weekend when I have the time! There are just so many things I really love about this game. The artstyle, the music, the npcs, the gameplay loop, the quality of mechanics, the character customization, the crafting, the sound effects, the accessibility in the menu, etc et etc etc. I could truly yap about it for a while lol. If you've been considering getting it just know I really really recommend it.

I've still been playing ACNL here and there and it's still so fun and charming to play :3 Howevr, the past couple of weeks I've also been bringing my switch to work sometimes and playing ACNH too!

What I've Been Listening To

I'm kind of going through a musical theatre phase right now and for a while I was really into listening to the music from wicked, but then I discovered Epic the Musical and have been listening to it pretty much every day since I discovered it. I love it so much that I plan to make a whole shrine page about it.

Current Aesthetic and Vibes

Suddenly I'm back into gloomy coquette/dark girly kei type stype style.

And the jirai kei/ryousangata type aesthetic too

I really love black/white + pastels idk something about it just tickles my brain so good

Projects & Plans

I'm trying to get better at setting goals and putting together future projects and plans for my hobbies and life and stuff. Here are some that I really want to do:

Beauty & Lifestyle Shortform Content

I really love makeup, fashion, hair, and skin care so I really want to make more videos, graphics, and blog posts dedicated to talking about that kind of stuff! I think I will start off by trying to make 10 of each of those things before fall starts as a goal

Graphic Design Portfolio

I think the best way to get better at stuff that you're passionate about is to simply make time to make more of it so I'd really like to make a graphic design portfolio this year! I think my plan will be to pick 5 different aesthetic themese and make websites and various assets for each of them. Then I will display them all proudly on my main site and possibly start doing cheap commissions in the future as a fun side gig. And THEN if/when my skill increases simply by doing more of it over time I can make really cool stuff for really cool people/businesses and tbh that is my true longterm dream.

More Cosplay

I would really like to do more cosplay this year (even if it's hard because of the Tarriff situation) because even tho the community is full of drama and wild people I genuinely love it from the bottom of my heart and genuinely just love dressing up and doing fun makeup even if it's just at home!

An issue I have is I have a strong love hate relationship with wigs, so I recently switched back to doing colorful bohemian braids (and I love them so much) but I can only do one hair color at a time so it can be very limiting for cosplay. I think a good solution for this would be to make a hair color/cosplay schedule for like months in advance so i can do certain characters when I have certain hair colors. Pls send creative energy lol we'll see how it goes.
